A.J. Johnson, owner and engineer of Sun Dog Recording Studio, has been playing music for over two decades and recording professionally for over 10 years. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts Lowell Sound Recording Technology program in 2012. After college he began working at Digital Bear entertainment alongside former Boston AES President Jordan Tishler (Jennifer Lopez, London Grammer, MOTi). A.J. quickly moved from intern to staff engineer, proving himself a valuable asset in a fast paced studio environment. He spent years sharpening his skills as both a recording engineer and mixer, working with groups such as Vishno, Alchemilla, MOTi, Squash, Moshi, and more.

In 2020, A.J. began Sun Dog Recording Studio, an independent and fully solar powered recording and mixing studio in Lowell, MA. Sun Dog Recording Studio is committed to the highest quality music production as well as pushing forward for a greener future.
